Jonathan P. Nelson currently serves as managing principal of Lori-Laine Enterprises, LLC; a family owned and operated real estate Management Corporation in Brooklyn, NY. He was born in Harlem and raised in Brooklyn where he received his primary and secondary education via the New York City public school system. Mr. Nelson received a Bachelor of Science degree, in electrical engineering, from Howard University and an MBA, in Finance, from St. John’s University (Jamaica, NY). Mr. Nelson’s professional career began in Albuquerque, NM where he worked in the aerospace industry as an engineering designer and project manager on several nuclear environment programs assigned to his employers; American Car Foundry Industries (ACFI) and Edgerton, Germeshausen& Grier, Inc. (EG&G). Over the remainder of his professional career he was employed, in various engineering and operations management positions by several corporations including; Johnson & Johnson, Nabisco Brands, Inc. and Pfizer, Inc. Mr. Nelson currently serves on the board of The Uniworld Group, the country’s largest multicultural advertising agency. He previously served on the boards of Eltrex Industries, Rochester, NY and the Bedford YMCA, Brooklyn, NY. For the past fifty-three years Mr. Nelson has been married to the former Dorothy E. Higgins of Houston, TX. The Nelson’s have one daughter Monique Nelson Nwachuku and two grandsons; Sochi and Jiro Nwachuku
